Ruth is currently the Acting Executive Director at the CLEEN Foundation www.cleen.org. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Ibadan, a Master of Arts Degree in Development Studies with a major in Social Policy from the Erasmus University, Rotterdam, Netherlands and currently pursuing doctoral studies and research in Defence and Security Studies. Her work focuses on improving the effectiveness of security and justice sector agencies through human rights-based approaches and improved accountability for better service delivery. Her technical and research interests are in security sector reforms & governance, police reforms, peacebuilding, counter terrorism, civil-military relations, and gender inclusivity. She has participated in several capacity building training programmes within and outside Nigeria and has close to a decade experience of work in the development sector. She is a member of various strategic platforms including the Security Sector Advisory Network to United Nations, Research Fellow of the Institute for French Studies in Nigeria (IFRA-Nigeria), Fellow of the Institute for Management Consultants and Member of the Chartered Institute of Project Management-Ghana.
