The CLEEN Foundation has initiated high-level discussions with the German Embassy in Nigeria to explore a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening democratic governance, security sector reform, and community-based peace initiatives. Germany’s long-standing support for human rights, the rule of law, and inclusive development aligns closely with CLEEN’s mission. The management team, visited the German Embassy in Abuja for a partnership-building engagement. The team was warmly received by Lorena Mohr, Counsellor for Political Affairs. The discussions had opened doors for collaboration, and we presented our recent publication on Weapons and Ammunition Management.

This partnership could unlock potential to scale CLEEN’s impact on justice reform, citizen security, and gender-responsive peacebuilding. It also strengthens Nigeria–Germany civil society cooperation and contributes to broader bilateral relations.
