AccessNG Project

The Accountable Governance for Justice and Security Nigeria (ACJS) also known as AccessNG is the anti-corruption flagship project of CLEEN Foundation being implemented in Nigeria between the years 2013 and 2017 through a consortium led by Partners Global- a global organization with over 25 years’ experience at the forefront of civil society capacity building and promotion of good governance.

Building on the successes and lessons learned from the first phase of the AccessNG project in Nigeria; project, under the second phase tagged:Promoting Civil Society Participation in Anti-Corruption Efforts in Nigeria,the Partners Global consortium members, including CLEEN Foundation has repositioned the AccessNG project with a view to: strengthening national structures for combating corruption; increase citizen access to government information as a tool to fight corruption in security and justice institutions; and carrying out Advocacy to increase the adoption and strengthening of the implementation the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) across the states of the Federation; increasing compliance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA); advocating for adoption of the Whistle Blower policy; and increasing budget transparency at the national and the state levels. A combination of social media, data visualization, policy briefs, town hall meeting, radio, outreach to communities and crowd-sourcing tools will be used in awareness raising activities. Furthermore, the project aimed at promoting campaigns on the provisions designed to mitigate grand corruption and low scale/petty corruption perpetrated members of the general public; security and justice sector actors in the public and private sector in Bauchi, Jigawa, Edo and Cross Rivers States in Nigeria.
