The IYOBOR App is an initiative of the Civil Society Observatory on the Administration of Criminal Justice in Edo State, established by CLEEN Foundation with support from partners. The app is provided free of charge and is intended for public use “as is.”
The IYOBOR App is designed to enable members of the public to report cases of rights abuse, violation, and torture by personnel of law enforcement agencies in Nigeria. It serves as a vital accountability mechanism to ensure that the conduct of security personnel conforms with extant laws such as the Anti-Torture Act (2017), the Administration of Criminal Justice Laws (ACJL), and other relevant legal frameworks.
Data collected through the app contributes to the agenda of the ACJMC quarterly meetings and the CLEEN Foundation radio program, and it works in synergy with the Complaint Response Unit of the Nigeria Police Force to ensure that cases are addressed and erring personnel held accountable.
Information Collection and Use
To improve your experience, the IYOBOR App may request personally identifiable information when you submit a report. The information collected is used strictly for documentation, accountability, and follow-up purposes in line with this Privacy Policy.

Whenever you use the IYOBOR App and an error occurs, we collect data and information (through third-party services) on your device called Log Data. This may include your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, the app configuration, usage time and date, and other related statistics.

This Service does not use cookies directly. However, the app may rely on third-party code or libraries that use cookies to enhance service delivery. You may accept or refuse these cookies; refusal may limit access to some functions of the app.
