CLEEN Foundation and Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Partners on Improving Public Safety and Security and Technological Advancement
The CLEEN Foundation team earlier today received the distinguished management team of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) led by the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Aloysius Michael Okolie. The visit was aimed at forging areas of partnership between the Foundation and the University to strengthen service delivery from the university, public safety and security in the South-East region and human capital development. This partnership is poised to consolidate on previous discussions and collaborative plans by CLEEN Foundation and the Oluaka Institute of Technology based in Owerri, Imo State to support Universities in the Southeast and beyond as pathways to expand the frontiers of science and technology for the advancement of the country.
The partnership is coming at a critical time in the history of our dear nation where the southeast particularly is riddled with security challenges and the urgency to explore workable and sustainable options to address the challenges. Consequently, CLEEN Foundation and ESUT will support a robust and mutually beneficial partnership between the two organizations aimed at upskilling students and staff and improving public safety and security outcomes for the Southeast. The partnership is considered timely in enhancing the strategic role of civil society organisations in the educational system as well as the role of the university system in contributing positively to national development through science and technology and exploring strategic collaboration with key stakeholders.
