In December 2023, the CLEEN Foundation, with five other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and 3 MDAs, joined forces to commemorate the 16th Days of Activism. Their primary objective was to enhance the capacity of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) to address gender-based violence (GBV) by raising awareness and promoting community engagement.

During the session with the NSCDC, the participants discussed various community-focused approaches to reduce different forms of violence. The focus was on the provisions of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Act, which aims to eliminate all forms of violence against persons in private and public life. The discussion also centered around promoting family values to create a safe, violence-free community.
