CLEEN Foundation in support of Devatop Africa at the official Launch of the #REDCARD2JUNGLEJUSTICE Campaign

Due to the increase of crime and
the disbelief of Nigerian citizens in the security actors to met out justice to
crime perpetrators, many Nigerians have taken the law into their hands, attacking
and lynching offenders when they commit a crime, this have been commonly termed
jungle justice.

Jungle justice have continually
been on the rise in Nigeria and a lot of innocent lives have been lost in
between, other than this, a lot of petty criminals have been charged to
immediate death sentence which they do 
not deserve.

In conjunction with CLEEN Foundation, Devatop Africa launched a #REDCARD2JUNGLEJUSTICE campaign, a platform to sensitize people about the danger of jungle justice and why the practice must cease immediately.

During the official launch of #REDCARD2JUNGLEJUSTICE, we had represented different security agencies and Civil Society Organizations who highly condemned the vicious act the taking another life. The general public were encouraged to report incidences of theft or any other crime to the nearest police station around them. The Honorable justice of the of the federation and the Inspector general of police were ably represented, the Assistant Director General of the Nigerian Vigilante Group was present, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was represented and a host of others.
