The Owerri team paid a visit to the office of the new NAPTIP Commander in Imo State to officially welcome him and have a meaningful conversation. CLEEN Foundation also presented insights from the recently held CSO–Police Forum, particularly on the troubling increase in the trafficking of young girls from the state and the South-East in general.
The Commander warmly received the team and shared that CLEEN was the first civil society organisation to visit since he assumed office. He expressed enthusiasm for collaboration and identified key areas for joint action, especially around grassroots awareness and strategic community outreach.
It was indeed a productive meeting filled with shared goals and fresh ideas. We look forward to working closely with the Commander and his team to make Imo State safer for everyone.
