CLEEN Foundation Calls for Inclusive Electoral Reforms in Imo

CLEEN Foundation participated in the Citizens’ Town Hall on Electoral Reform in Owerri, hosted by the Peering Advocacy and Advancement Centre in Africa (PAACA). The event reviewed challenges from the 2023 elections and called for more inclusive, transparent processes.

Participants raised concerns around vote buying, voter intimidation, low turnout, and the exclusion of persons with disabilities and women. Many of these issues were traced back to incidents at polling units.

The town hall emphasised the need to strengthen voter protection, boost civic participation, and build public trust in the electoral process.
